We walk about 1.5 miles in three hours with regular stops for conversation and eating. This would be suitable for most abilities.
Parking is available in the Vail Village parking structure. This is free in the Summertime and paid in the Winter.
The Brewery and distillery tours will have Van pickups from your hotel.
These tours will have enough food for a moderate lunch for most people. These will be satisfying but may not replace multiple meals.
These tours will have snacks that are more of a happy hour size and may not be a replacement for a full meal.
The alcohol pairing option is a half cocktail, beer or wine that pairs best with the food at four of our food tasting stops. These are preset pairings and vary by location. No substitutions will be made for the pairings. Must be 21+ years old.
Yes for the Village food tasting tour and the Bikes & Bites tour. A child ticket for ages 3-12 is available for purchase. Infants and non eating toddlers do not need a ticket.
No for the Brew tasting and the Suds, Spirits & Smokes tours. (21+ only)
I.D’s will be checked for all tours involving alcohol pairings.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate most needs. Day of the tour changes will not be guaranteed.
Absolutely not! Our tours combine historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 2.5 hour experience. Imagine walking through Vail eating at our locally owned restaurants and learning the ins and outs from a local all the while enjoying the company of your family and friends!
There are multiple tastings of a variety of different beers, which adds up to approximately 18 beers served during the Valley Brew tasting tour. One pint is included on the Suds, Spirits & Smokes tour as well as the Bike & Bites tour.
Yes. All tickets need to be purchased in advance either online or by phone. Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard are the accepted forms of payment. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.
You should bring with you a camera and an appetite. We will have water for you so no need to carry any. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it’s important to wear and an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing gloves,warm hat and a scarf as Vail can be cold and snowy. If it looks like rain we can provide an umbrella but you may want to bring your own.
We do not provide a waiting list. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.
Food Tours: No. We ask that you refrain from shopping until after the tour. Due to timing of food, we have to keep the tour moving and can not wait for every person to pay tabs. You can always go back after the tour and shop your heart out!
Brew Tours: Yes. The breweries have fun t-shirts and take-home beers. We are at each brewery for enough time to purchase some memorabilia.
We strive for excellent service and if you have enjoyed your guided experience then gratuities are greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
Yes. We offer a fun time with good people who love food, drinks and stories.
All tasting locations and Vehicles are Tobacco free.
There are smoking permitted locations outside in the village during the walking tour.
Marijuana consumption on the Suds, Spirits and Smokes tour is at the groups discretion, within applicable laws.
The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. Summertime is known for afternoon rain showers so please bring your own umbrella. However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately.
Some of the restaurants were built in the 1960’s and so are limited on perfect wheelchair access. Most have a lift system or other modifications made and we have run plenty of tours with wheelchairs successfully.
Unfortunately, our Van tours are not wheelchair accessible.
At this time, we do not offer public tours in any other languages except English. A private tour may be purchased in Spanish upon request and availability.
