See what everyone has to say about Vail Valley Food Tours:

This was a great, easygoing foot tour on a non-ski day. I stayed in Lionshead Village, so this way I got to know our way around Vail Village, while enjoying wonderful food & drink. (I won’t tell you what we had & spoil the suprise!) Matt was a great guide and I took my husband back to some of the restaurants the following day. We can’t wait to return to Vail!

Highlight of my Trip!!!

Vail Village Food Tasting & Walking Tour (Matt Timmerman)
Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual

I went on this tour whilst my boyfriend went skiing and I am so glad I did it! The host was extensively knowledgeable about the food we were tasting and the history of Vail. He has one of those personalities that makes you feel like you have known him for a very long time, which made for a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely suggest it to anybody on their trip to Vail especially if you are looking to do something besides skiing.

I cannot believe this idea has only now been executed in the Vail Valley.  The LOCAL Owner/Operator was timely, knowledgeable, and had already established excellent rapport with the local restaurants.  From a James Beard award winning chef to a local candy store, from a European pastry business to a modern farm to table environment, our tour guide really showed us an excellent time in Vail.

We enjoyed Carpaccio’s, Fresh Tuna, Dark Chocolate caramel dusted in sea salt, Gluwhien, etc. etc.

Matt, we will see you next time for sure.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon as you get to sample multiple excellent valley restaurants while getting a historical/cultural perspective of Vail. The tour was led by a very knowledgeable guide in a fun group setting.

We had an awesome time on the tour! Matt had a ton of information on Vail and on each of the restaurants we ate at. Everything we tried was delicious and there was such a variety of it that there was something for everyone. We ended up ordering dinner at our favorite restaurant later that night. We’ll end up doing the entire tour again the next time we come out because we had such a good time. Can’t recommend it enough!

Every place we visited had excellent food and drink, and the tour was a nice exploration of the town. The tour guide was very nice and informative as well. Definitely recommend trying it.

This tour has something great to offer every person and palate. Getting to explore  new restaurants and learning fun and interesting facts about the Vail area all while walking in the most picturesque setting; what more could you ask for?

As a long time vegetarian I was unsure what to expect going into the tour but within the first stop I knew I was going to love it. The food was not only great tasting but also refreshingly unique, a nice departure from your “typical” vegetarian options. I  appreciated the fact that the food was ready for us when we arrived including mine, which was generally a separate dish from the rest of the group. And of course, getting to hear  the stories and history behind each location was an added bonus to the cuisine. I will be revisiting some of the tour stops for sure. May do the tour again during the winter season.

“Food tour was more then we expected. Excellent food choices. Excellent information from Matt. Got to taste food I would never had picked off the menu myself and go inside of the restaurants I might have just walked by. Thanks Matt for a wonderful day in Vail Village. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Vail Village.”
