The Vail area is known to have exceptional food as well as the best restaurants and Chefs in Colorado but if you want an experience like no other then you will have to make your reservations for New Years Eve.
New Years in Vail has a long tradition of Chefs pulling out all of the stops to outdo one another in coursed out creativity and one of a kind dinners throughout the valley. Paired with wine and music, these meals are sure to bring in the New Year right.
Here are my top 5 hot spots for an amazing dinner and entertainment to celebrate. As all are great, they are in no particular order and offer different but superb experiences.
Terra Bistro is having three different seatings. The first is for the guests with kids and people who want a quicker meal before heading out to party. This is more of an ala-carte option but you can order all three courses if you like. The Late seating is for the guest that is going to count down the time at Terra. This seating is a Four course meal with champagne, music and some possible dancing until the wee hours of the night. Chef Kevin always shines with his Organic choices in cuisine.$195
La Tour in Vail is having their Five course available for the Late Seating. Starting with caviar, moving to truffles, Foie Gras and Steak and Lobster before a luscious desert will make any guest wish the year would never end. $195
Bol Vail will be celebrating in their fun never ends, party style with D.J. Z-Trip spinning music for the crowds. They will have regular dinner service and bowling throughout the evening but will be the place to be when the music starts at 10pm.
Grouse Mountain Grill will welcome the new year with the sounds of Tony Gulizia playing on the keys. Chef David uses his transcendent talent to creatively utilize the impressive ingredients on his five course menu. No one will leave hungry and many will just not want to leave after tasting some of his creations. Fortunately they are located in the Pines Lodge, although rooms are probably booked. $235
Vin 48 Chef Hayes will not disappoint when it comes to the food but you will miss out if you do not get everything paired by Greg Eynon, wine director and part owner at Vin. With over 30 bottles on tap in their Enomatic machine and Greg pulling bottles off his list for the occasion, a lover of great food and great wine can not find a better choice in the valley.
How ever you decide to celebrate this upcoming New Year, Have fun, Eat well and Love Everyone! Happy New Year!
