New Years Eve is Upon Us!
If you are in Vail for New Years Eve and are still deciding where to go then you had better hurry up! Lots of restaurants are sold out and other festive spots may only have a few spaces left. Here is a list of the top restaurants and nightlife in the Vail area to help you decide.
There are 2 ways to go on N.Y.E.:
- The first is to have yourself a multi-course decadent dinner with cocktails and all of the trimmings until the clock counts down
- Eat early and celebrate at one of the many happening bars and music halls throughout the valley. Most restaurants will have at least 2 seatings to accommodate both crowds.
La Tour is having 2 seatings that evening. The early one being for the families and the late on for the diners. Call now if you want to get in here! Chef Paul usually pulls out all the stops in his French inspired cuisine.
Terra Bistro has a long waiting list for it’s 2 seatings as well but the Truffles will be worth it! Click the link to see the full menu for this year. They may be sold out but that doesn’t mean that the impossible won’t happen if you show up with a positive attitude!
La Bottega is having their usual menu this year. This is a great option if you want to just dine without the high costs before heading out to party. Fill up on those carbs in order to be able to handle the Champagne!.
Vendettas has options as well this year. They are offering 2 times to eat as well as a D.J and dance floor to boogie into 2016!
There are lots of other options for dining like Sweet Basil, Mountain Standard, Up the Creek and Lancelot. Not to mention Yama Sushi, Matsuhisa and Osaki’s if you want some fish. Just check their websites or call for more detailed info.
Just be sure you call for reservations before you go. Small groups may also be able to slide in if they are willing to wait for an opening or sit at the bar.
Drinks, Dancing and Fireworks!
If you are heading out to party past the dropping of the ball then check out these hot spots in the village:
Bol. Our modern bowling alley will not only be serving up their fantastic menu on New Years but will have a D.J and passed apps in the later hours.
Samana Lounge will have a D.J as well, along with snacks and cocktails. Definitely for the 21+ crowd. The party there will go until the wee hours.
Loaded Joe’s will have a Black tie Masquerade ball but not in Vail. Their Avon Location will host the festivities.
Even Pepi’s will have a band to ring in the New Year. You can have dinner as well, before the band, but space is limited.
If you would rather be outside for the festivities this year or you are under the legal drinking age, then both Vail and Beaver Creek will be celebrating with Fireworks and torchlight parades. This is a great Family Friendly way to celebrate here in the Valley.
No matter what you choose or where you go, please be patient and enjoy the ride! If you have not made reservations yet then remember that your warm smile, polite attitude and ample greenbacks will get you far when trying to enjoy this New Years Eve in Vail.
